MESSAGE: The Administrative Training Institute (ATI) Naharlagun established in 1992 as a full fledged Training institute is still to attain its full potential in terms of faculty and facilities. However, inspite of the shortcomings, the institute has been able to undertake training programmes over the years at the level of Foundation training for new recruits and mid-career training for in-service officers and staff. The institute has been striving hard to improve the efficiency of the government employees across all departments through constant capacity building endeavours with a view to equip them with the necessary skills and competence for the job in order to achieve efficient and transparent administration which is responsive to the needs of the citizen. The institute has now been declared as a State of Art Institute by the State Government and with this, coupled with improved infrastructure and manpower in future, it is anticipated that the Admininstrative Training Institute will achieve greater heights. I am happy to know that the Administrative Training Institute will have its own website for the first time under the aegis of the Department of Information Technology and Communication (IT&C), Govt. of Arunachal, to be launched on 24th August 2021. I am sure this will be of immense help and will enhance the scope of dissemination of useful information and knowledge from the institute for the greater interest of the citizens as whole and public servants in particular.
